Friday on our Ag Issues program, we visited with Bob McClure, Chief Data Scientist with Main Street Data. The Kansas-based company formed in 2017 recently announced their projected corn yield for the 2020 harvest at 183.6 bushels per acre, surpassing USDA’s updated forecast of 181.8. Last year, Main Street Data’s August projection of 167.9 was just under the final yield figure compiled by USDA this past January.
Podcast chatting with Bob McClure about how Main Street Data models crop yield earlier and better than anyone else.
